Data & Sources
A useful card record should distinguish source-backed information from gaps. PTC displays the evidence available; it does not promise complete coverage or authenticate a physical card.
Catalog data: TCGdex
Our primary structured catalog lineage is TCGdex, an open-source Pokémon card database. Card identity, Set information and supported facts retain their source context. Card data is available in English (EN), German (DE), Japanese (JA), Italian (IT), and Spanish (ES). The Beta interface is English.
Language-specific identities remain separate. We do not infer that cards with similar names in different languages are equivalent. Rarity evidence is distinct from Known printings; neither is inferred from artwork.
The TCGdex database carries the MIT license notice reproduced below. This database license does not grant ownership of, or unrestricted rights to, Pokémon card artwork.

Images and incomplete evidence
Card images use existing authorized source references where available. Image coverage is constrained by source availability and rights. Attribution does not transfer artwork rights or imply endorsement. An unavailable image stays a labeled fallback; it is not replaced with a different card or language.
Missing facts mean unknown, not confirmed absence. Partial, conflicting or unsupported fact details remain identified. Known printings are source-backed where available, not a promise that every finish, edition or marking is covered. The collector guide explains these states.
Active eBay listings
Market information comes from stored observations of active listings through the official eBay API, not from TCGdex. The Card Detail panel identifies the marketplace and when the observation was made.
These are active seller asking prices, not completed sales or guaranteed card value. They reflect the stated marketplace, listing and condition, and do not calculate your Portfolio value.
A listing can change or disappear after observation. Raw and graded listing groups are distinct; a listing’s grading claim is not grading verification by PTC. Expired, not checked, no exact match, refresh failed and access blocked states do not establish a zero price. Browsing reads stored observations only and does not refresh eBay.
PTC provides no sold-price comparables, guaranteed valuation, investment advice or authenticity verification. Your Portfolio costs and sale proceeds are separately recorded history.
